Making An Appointment

Our goal at AHOM is to exceed expectations from the very beginning of your experience starting with the appointment scheduling process. We're proud to offer over-the-phone appointment scheduling or online appointment requests so that you have options that fit your schedule and preference. If you are giving our office a call, our receptionist team will warmly welcome you and help make sure your questions are answered and you feel well prepared for your first visit. You'll receive email and text message reminders to confirm the details of your appointment. ?

We also offer walk-in urgent care if your pet is sick or experiencing an emergency. You can call us when you are on your way and we will get your pet seen as quickly as possible.

Your Visit

Prior to your visit, you can fill out the new client paperwork online to streamline your check-in process. Make sure to bring your pet's vaccine history, any prescription drugs (including dosage amounts and frequency), and any over-the-counter medicines or supplements your pet may be taking. ?

After checking in, we will get your pet's weight and a technician will get you into a room as quickly as possible. Our goal is to make sure all of our patients are seen on time, but there may be occasional unexpected delays due to an emergency or urgent case being brought in. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding should this occur. We assure you that the same dedication and courtesy will be provided to your pet should they ever need it.

Once you've been escorted into an exam room, the technician will go over your pet's medical history with you. You will then see one of our highly qualified veterinarians who will do a physical exam and discuss any concerns you may have. Most diagnostic testing or treatment is done in our in-house laboratory if the veterinarian recommends it. If your pet requires treatment, that will be discussed with you in the exam room to be sure you do not have any questions. Depending on your pet's needs, we may require a follow-up visit to assure that we have correctly addressed any issues your pet is experiencing. ?

Our receptionist team will make sure your invoice is taken care of and any follow-up appointments are made. Please keep in mind that payment is due in full at the time of your appointment. We accept cash, credit (excluding American Express), Care Credit, and personal checks. We're happy to offer $25 off your first visit. Be sure to present the coupon at checkout.

After Your Visit

Please let us know how we did! You will receive an email with a link to a survey where you will have the opportunity to share feedback. If your pet experiences any adverse reactions to treatment or vaccinations, or if you have any questions please call us and we will be sure to help you!
